With a resurgence of interest and increased national focus on restoring older buildings, JGI offers specialized services to meet those needs. Restoration work involves preserving a building’s historic character by using modern technology to improve performance and function of an historic building’s window and door systems. JGI ’s professionals have hands-on experience of not only the craftsmanship skills necessary to accomplish restoration work, but also a working knowledge of those National Park Service Standards that drive restoration activities. Jacobs Glass utilizes effective methods and means needed for restoring a building’s historic features in an environmentally secure and sustainable manner.

Our restoration team members are EPA Lead Safe certified, and we have three Maine State Certified Lead Supervisors on staff who oversee work on all our projects. In addition to lead safe removal, we have asbestos removal certification and training and can safely remove and dispose of these materials if found present within the window structure.
